Create and responsibly manage a county wide system of park and open space resources and provide recreational, cultural, and educational opportunities based on these resources for the use and enjoyment of citizens and visitors of Lake County
Description:
Lake County Parks Department is responsible for 13 properties including: 2 golf courses, a nature preserve, an astronomical field lab, 2 historic parks, a water park, veterans memorial, a beach on Lake Michigan and numerous playgrounds and picnic facilities. The diversity of our parks allows for visitors of all ages and interests to enjoy the beautiful outdoors.
