The Power of Youth is Dedicated to improving and creating a positive perspective of youth through performing Valuable services that benefit others.
Description:
This Council encourages the unity of the local area youth to become involved in their community. Each of the nine High Schools are represented on this Council: Boone Grove, Chesterton, Hebron, Morgan, Portage, Kouts, Wheeler, Washington, Valparaiso.Also Partnering with Valparaiso University on projects.
History:
The Power of Youth Council was created in 2007 by Allison Goetcherus Youth Coordinator, AmeriCorps member. Currently 24 members represent the Youth of Porter County.
