The mission of the Family & Youth Services Bureau is to support children and families as they encounter the various tasks, circumstances and challenges of life - so that children have the opportunity to become capable, responsible and contributing members of the community and families have the means to effectively assist in that process. Moreover, the agency will encourage the community to nurture and care for all of its children.
Description:
The Family & Youth Services Bureau (FYSB) works with children, adolescents and families who need a little extra support (regular kids and families), youth whose delinquent behavior has brought them to the attention of Juvenile Court, and abused or neglected children. In most cases, the FYSB works with parents in addition to children and youth.
