Gig Harbor Peninsula FISH is an all volunteer emergency assistance organization serving the Gig Harbor and key Peninsula areas and supported entirely by donations from the community. Our motto is "Neighbor helping Neighbor". This is expressed through varied community assistance programs, all aimed at providing the necessary aid and encouragement for families so that they may maintain dignity, self-esteem and self-sufficiency.

Description:
GHPFISH is an all volunteer agency. All funds above the rent, food costs and utilities are returned back into the community through the food bank, financial aid and school counselors funds which provide counseling, needed clothing and medicines, and summer camp experiences. Urgent transportation needs are provided by volunteer drivers, Telephone monitors answer questions and direct calls. We want the Peninsula area to remain a family friendly, safe place to live. All community members who would like to join us in helping in their community are welcome to join us. Come in to the Food Bank at 4425 Burnham Drive and visit us, ask questions and meet some of our volunteers.

Gig Harbor Peninsula FISH was founded in 1976.
A Board of Directors oversee volunteer activities.
There are no paid staff.
Our goal is to help local residents in Gig Harbor and on the Key Peninsula to succeed. In order to do so, we provide a place to turn for food, financial aid and other means of achieving that goal.
FISH is a Christian organization based on the Bibles instructions to feed the hungry and care for the naked and homeless. We help anyone regardless of their faith, race or creed.
We welcome anyone who believes as we do, that all people need to be cared for and loved.
