Description:
TACID works with disabled individuals offering "free" services to the disabled with Housing & Employment, Mental Health Resource Center, Volunteer Program, Deaf & Hard of Hearing, A Place for Us Too, Blind Independent Program, Information and Referral and many other areas.

History:
TACID was founded in 1980, and the center was opened in 1984, having been built through the joint program of the State of Washington, the City of Tacoma and Tacoma Community College.
