We at Good Samaritan Community Services are an integrated network of social and health professionals assisting, to the best of our capabilities, people of all ages with a variety of needs. We enrich the well-being of every life we touch in an environment where healing is promoted and all are honored.
Description:
Good Samaritan Community Services, a division of Good Samaritan Community Healthcare and a part of MultiCare Health System, includes several departments such as Behavioral Healthcare, Adult Day Health, Family Support Services, and WIC. Services include counseling to children and their families, adults, older adults, domestic violence victims, and Asian refugees and immigrants; adult day health program for older adults; access to respite care for frail elderly adults. Volunteers are needed in several programs including our Older Adult Services Peer Counseling Program, Adult Day Health, which works with elders, and our administrative services department.
History:
MultiCare Health System was founded in 1882. Good Samaritan Community Healthcare was founded in 1952. Good Samaritan Behavioral Healthcare has been a licensed community mental health center since 1972, and Good Samaritan Community Services was established in 1983 to address community needs through the provision of services in the community. We are a non-profit (501)(c)(3) corporation.
