[ View Opportunity ]
Last updated on May 21, 2008

No Child Will Grieve Alone.
BRIDGES provides grieving children and their families with support and resources to sustain them through the process of grief toward healing.

Description:
BRIDGES is a family grief support center serving families with children ages 4-18 who have experienced the death of a parent or sibling. The peer support groups are facilitated by trained volunteers. BRIDGES offers parent loss, sib loss and suicide/homicide support groups. A group is also offered for children 4-18 living with someone who is seriously ill.

History:
We were birthed in 1988 with a seed money grant from UWPC to Bereavement Services at MultiCare Hospice of Tacoma. Over the last fifteen years we have added more diversified groups, a Grief and Loss Counselor and a Family Grief Camp.
