Toy Rescue Mission is committed to the innovative refurbishing of used toys, while providing volunteer opportunities to "children" of all ages. Once restored, these toys are then donated to our community's needy children and to seniors in nursing homes (having Alzheimer's and Dementia).
Description:
The restored toys are donated to less-fortunate children in battered women's shelters, homeless family shelters, facilities housing emotionally and physically abused children, or to any children known to have a need. Most of our projects do not require any experience or background to restore. We have projects that can be completed at our work site, and projects that can be checked out and completed off-site.
History:
TRM was founded 18 years ago, and was established as a non-profit agency in 1994. We currently operate out of a commercial business suite at 607 S. We do not have any other drop-off sites, other than the one in front of our Distribution Site, nor do we operate out of any other locations. We are not supported by any agency or group.

It is wonderful to play Santa Claus for our children of the world.

Toy Rescue Mission is about the children and volunteering there makes me a kid all over again. I volunteer in a number of areas for TRM. Each experience has enriched my life in the professional and personal arenas. The love and committment there makes the time go by quickly! posted by del57jas on December 13, 2005 |
