The general purpose of the Bureau shall be to enhance the hospitality industry and the economy of the Tacoma-Pierce County area. Consistent with these purposes, the activities of the Tacoma Regional Convention & Visitor Bureau are intended to strengthen and promote visitor services, attractions and convention facilities to establish this area as a primary visitor and convention destination.

Description:
Volunteers needed to answer the phone and assist walk-in visitors at the Visitor Information Center. They hand out brochures, maps and directions with a friendly smile.

History:
The Tacoma Regional Convention & Visitor Bureau was founded in 1989. It is a private-non profit corporation funded through private membership and city and county partners.
