The mission of the Stanwood Camano Community Resource Center is to provide opportunities for youth, families and individuals to develop and strengthen their resiliency skills through support, education, information and community activities and thereby foster a healthy community.
Description:
The Stanwood Camano Community Resource Center is a program of Community Resources Foundation. We are a family resource cooperative partnering with other community organizations to offer information and referral programs, events for families and youth, and special interest classes for youth and adults. Our partnerships include Readiness to Learn, Volunteers of America, Washington State University Extension 4H, and others. Participation is open to all community members. Our Heads Up! program provides youth a positive environment in which to complete community service hours for high school completion or assigned by the Juvenile Court System. The resource office and used book store are located at 9620 271st St. NW. Volunteer opportunities are available. Business hours: 9-4:30, Monday through Thursday. Phone: 360-629-5257. History:
The Stanwood Camano Community Resource Center opened its doors in October 1992 with the help of many committed citizens and the sponsorship of Deaconess Children's Services of Everett.
After three moves and a change of sponsorship, we have increased our abilities and working space. We now offer a variety of programs that evolved from the ideas, interests and expressed needs of the community.
New ideas are the building blocks of your Community Resource Center. You provide the ideas and we give you the assistance and resources to bring your ideas and hopes to life.
