Position title: Board of Directors - Service to people with impaired vision
Description: This is a leadership volunteer opportunity in which you can help improve the lives of people who are blind or partially sighted. Since 1965 we have worked in the community to assist people with impaired vision maintain independence. We are the only agency in the county that does this kind of work. We provide counseling, low vision services, training in independent and safe travel, instruction in independent home management, public education and information and referral. Our Board currently meets 5 - 7 times per year, from 5:30 pm to 7pm in Seattle. Board members provide strategic and policy direction to the agency in order to assure the continued vitality and appropriateness of agency services to the community.
