To promote the planting and maintenance of trees in the Capital City. If you want to learn about the planting and care of trees and help beautify our community, get involved with the Juneau Urban Forestry Partnership.
Description:
The Juneau Urban Forestry Partnership (JUFP) is a local volunteer led non-profit organization that seeks opportunities with other organizations and groups to plant trees in Juneau. The JUFP hosts tree planting and maintenance events throughout Juneau to enhance the community and improve our quality of life. The JUFP has a volunteer base of 125 members who assist in tree planting and care projects. The JUFP also provides tree education programs. New volunteers are always welcome to our events to learn about trees and make a lasting contribution to our community. Events are listed in our newsletter and you can be added to the mailing list by contacting jbarnard@ptialaska.net.
