Description:
Waterford Country School Foster Care is seeking mature, stable adults to provide loving homes to foster kids, ages 8 - 18, with emotional and behavioral challenges. Those wishing to become foster parents receive intensive training and support services that includes completion of the nine-week PRIDE training curriculum. Licensed foster parents receive a wide-range of services including weekly visits from a staff professional, around-the-clock crisis intervention, access to ongoing trainings and monthly parent support groups, a large network of other foster parents facing similar challenges, a substantial, monthly reimbursement and more.
History:
Waterford Country School was established in 1922 with a commitment to providing a safe environment for children in crisis and to support families with the resources, skills and tools to create and maintain healthy, secure and self-sufficient home environments. Like the children the agency serves, Waterford Country School's programs and services have evolved over the years to provide the best care possible for children in need.
