The mission of the City of Auburn Hills Senior Citizens Services Department is to act as a community focal point on aging, where seniors, families, caregivers and the community can come for services, information and support in relation to aging. The Senior Services Department will strive to provide effective, informative, current and friendly programs, services and events.
Description:
The City of Auburn Hills Senior Services Department provides a host of activities, volunteer opportunities, recreational and social services to the residents of Auburn Hills. Some of the activities we offer include meals on wheels, luncheon programs, fitness opportunities, trips and travel. Many of our programs and services would not happen without the dedication of many volunteers. Many of the seniors have found friendship and support by attending the programs.
History:
The Auburn Hills Senior Services Department has been providing services for residents for about 19 years. The Senior Services Department began as a small program offering noon time meals and transportation. Through the years the program has reached out to many seniors to improve their quality of life.
