St. Luke's Women's Fitness Celebration is organized to provide our participants, their families and friends, sponsors, and spectators with an enjoyable and rewarding athletic, social, and community experience. The mission of the Celebration is to inspire healthy attitudes in our participants so that it reaches their families and their communities. The Celebration furthers this concept by adding St. Luke's mission of improving the health of the people in the region.

The dates for this year's event are September 18, 19 & 20, 2008.
History:
St. Luke's Women's Fitness Celebration was launched in 1993 by Anne Audain & Maryanna Young. The first event in September 1993 had just over 2300 participants, which at that time was one of the largest road races in the state of Idaho. The event grew rapidly each year, with the largest number of participants topping 17,000. The current participant base is around 12,000 annually, which makes the Celebration one of the largest all-women events in the USA. The event was created with "all ages, all abilities" as the target audience. The founders of the Celebration wanted to create an event where elite athletes and grandmothers felt comfortable on the same course on the same day. The success of the Celebration depends on the support of sponsors, volunteers and participants. It is a community event, organized for the benefit of the participants and the promotion of health and fitness in our area.
