Terry Reilly Health Services is a community based non-profit corporation which is dedicated to providing quality, comprehensive health care. The services are provided in an accessible and affordable manner to all persons regardless of age, sex, ethnicity or economic situation. Particular attention is given to people who might have difficulty obtaining care elsewhere due to rural isolation, financial barriers, or cultural sensitivity. Terry Reilly Health Services functions as a business in such a manner as to be fiscally responsible to the corporate interests and the interests and obligations of the patients. Terry Reilly Health Services strives to improve and expand services offered. The corporation remains flexible in the health care marketplace and explores new organizational structures and health related financial enterprises.
Description:
Primary health care is our basic focus, including family practice medicine (provided by board-certified physicians, nurse practitioners and physician assistants), general dentistry, and behavioral health. In Nampa, TRHS has its own pharmacy and laboratory. Family medicine provides prenatal care, including delivery, well child care, men and women's health, chronic disease and acute care for all ages. In additional to bilingual counseling and medication management through TRHS behavioral health, the SANE Solutions Program staff provides specialized treatment of victims of sexual abuse and sex offenders, as well as treatment of batterers. TRHS medical clinics are located in Boise, Nampa, Caldwell, Homedale, Marsing and Melba. TRHS dental clinics are found in Boise, Nampa, Homedale, and Melba. Behavioral health services are located in all towns with TRHS medical clinics. Services are are open to all and are offered on a sliding fee scale, based on family size and income. Medicaid and Medicare are welcome, as is private insurance. Over 40% of TRHS staff are bilingual in English and Spanish, lessening language barriers for farmworkers and others.
History:
In 1971, Terry Reilly and his wife Rosie Delgadillo Reilly knew that they must do all in their power to ensure that the poor farmworker children they were tutoring received the health care they needed to stay healthy. What started as a volunteer effort to treat children from migrant and seasonal farmworker families evolved quickly to a vision to provide health services to all who faced barriers: the working poor, the uninsured, the homeless, and adults and children of all ages and ethnicities. In the three and a half decades since, many dedicated staff persons and community members have brought us closer to reaching that vision. Together we can come even closer.
