Senior Solutions is a non-profit agency that provides services for senior citizens to help them remain living independently for as long as possible.

Senior Solutions provides services and resources to help frail elderly in Ada County to live independently while maintaining their dignity. Services include:
Information & In-Home Services:
Provides in-home services to help frail senior citizens with daily living tasks, which helps them remain living safely and independently. Services include:
- Advocacy and assistance by licensed, bonded social workers, which includes: a) In-home assessments and coordination of in-home services to help seniors and their families put needed resources in place so the seniors can remain living at home; b) Ongoing case management for frail seniors who need additional hands-on help. This includes help with medical bills, paperwork, bill paying, as well as intensive assistance for seniors needing advocacy and assistance in dealing with financial scams and other situations; c) General Power of Attorney and court-appointed guardianship services for those who are most frail.
- Daily phone calls to check on the welfare of frail seniors who live alone;
- Volunteer assistance to help with tasks such as grocery shopping, yard work, minor home repairs, and to do friendly visiting;
- Resource information and referrals for seniors and their families.
Transportation:
Provides affordable, handicapped-accessible transportation for senior citizens. Transport includes: 1) Rides to the Boise Senior Activities Center for meals, health checks, social activities, exercise classes, etc.; 2) Transport to medical appointments; 3) Transport seniors on shopping trips for groceries and prescriptions.
Senior Solutions also manages the Boise City Taxi Scrip program and the Boise Senior Activities Center.
History:
Senior Solutions began as the Boise Council on Aging in 1959 to help frail senior citizens in Boise City. The agency received funding to provide programs to help seniors and worked with the City of Boise to build the Boise Senior Center, located on Robbins Road. In 1989, the Boise Council on Aging and the Ada County Council on Aging merged to form Senior Programs of Boise City/Ada County to better meet needs of senior citizens in Boise City and Ada County. In 2001, the agency changed its name to Senior Solutions Inc. We continue to provide assistance to senior citizens in Boise City and Ada County. Services are offered on either a sliding fee scale or donation basis.
