The Salvation Army exists to meet the needs of human beings with the motivation of compassion and love. Local agencies strive to live up to the international organization's mission which states: The Salvation Army, an international movement, is an evangelical part of the universal Christian church. Its message is based on the bible. Its ministry is motivated by the love of God. Its mission is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and to meet human needs in His name without discrimination.

Description:
The Salvation Army in Ada County conducts its social services at 4308 W State Street, (next to the thrift store) in Boise's north end.
Programs we provide are:

We also have Booth Memorial Campus/Marian Pritchett High School located at 1617 N 24th Street, Boise.
The campus offers a fine education for pregnant and parenting teens, outpatient case management & supportive counseling along with child-care for the infants of the students.

We are here to assist anyone in finding resources and get back on their feet with our S.A.F.E. program giving temporary assistance to homeless families and women at the shelter.

The Salvation Army does not discriminate and serves those in need that qualify in our community.

Volunteers in the community are key in all that we do!

History:
The Salvation Army has served mankind during wars, disasters, and offered simple necessities like food, shelter and compassion since 1865. We have served Idaho since 1885, and Boise since 1887. The Booth Family Care Center on 24th and Bella in Boise has been a refuge for families in need since 1921.
