FAAN is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, whose mission is to raise
public awareness, to provide advocacy and education, and to advance research
on behalf of all those affected by food allergies and anaphylaxis.

Twelve million Americans have food allergies and severe reactions result in more than 30,000 trips to emergency rooms. There is NO CURE for food allergies. Strict avoidance of the allergy-causing food is the only way to prevent a reaction.

We are currently planning a fundraising walk to increase advocacy, education and research to improve the lives of those affected by food allergies and anaphylaxis. We are currently recruiting those interested in being a part of the planning process by either chairing a committee or being a committee member. We are also in need of Walk Day volunteers! Some of the tasks are as simple as hanging flyers, while others may require more time, such as contacting companies to inquire about their interest in sponsoring this great event.

No training is needed. Just a willingness to have fun, work with a team, and make this event as great as an experience as we can for everyone involved!
