Can you spare a morning or afternoon to help? The Idaho Foodbank is canning beans May 19, 20, 21, 22 at the LDS Cannery in Garden City. Starting with dry beans, volunteers will prepare, can and label them, ending up with 35,000 cans or ready-to-use product. We need your help! This project will provide a very useful and convenient source of protein to busy and needy families.
Volunteers must be age 16 or over. Canning takes place at the LDS Cannery, and no smoking or photography is allowed inside the building. Volunteers will need to be able to stand or sit for 3 hours; some positions may require lifting. 2 shifts per day: 8:30 am - noon and 11:30 am - 3 pm includes orientation.
