KIDZ DAYZ MISSION STATEMENT:
Kidz Dayz Inc., will assist special needs children during the summer months in a day camp setting that offers the structure and routine needed to maintain and further enhance the development of the children’s social, educational,independent living and behavioral skills which are learned throughout the regular school year.
Description:
Kidz Dayz, Inc. meets Monday through Thursday for 6-9 weeks, depending on the school calendar, during the summer. Kidz Dayz will provide structure, routine and activities that foster academics, social interaction, and therapeutic interventions along with traditional summer day camp activities to meet the needs of children ages 3-16 with Autism in Wayne County, NC. Based on funds raised throughout the year, we offer 3-8 classrooms with a maximum of ten children each. In each classroom there are: one IDEA defined special education teacher (that demonstrated competence in all the core subjects in which the teacher teaches), one certified instructional assistant along with 1-2 volunteers at all times.
