Volunteers will provide one on one visits for consumers in a psychiatric hospital. This opportunity will offer the consumer the opportunity to improve his/her quality of life by providing regular visits from a volunteer. You may participate in reading, taking short walks, writing letters, playing board games and friendly conversation. Good interpersonal skills, ability to work with psychiatric patients and staff, warm and caring person and reliability is what is needed to fill this opportunity. Willing to commit to at least 1 hour per week. You must be at least 18 years of age and attend orientation.
