Attend a New Volunteer Orientation to learn about volunteer opportunities in Blood Drives and Disaster Services. If you are interested in national disaster relief deployment, you need to become a registered Charter Oak Chapter volunteer and take disaster response training. Local responders (Disaster Action Team) also needed in your area. We have a great need for volunteers to assist with registration and refreshments at daytime blood drives in your area. Choose the dates and locations to volunteer. We also need volunteers to teach First Aid, CPR, and other community classes. PLEASE NOTE: PRIOR ENROLLMENT IN THE ORIENTATION IS REQUIRED. Dates & times subject to change, seating is limited. Please allow extra time if you wish to stay for an interview. WE TYPICALLY HOLD ORIENTATIONS AT 11:00 A.M. AND 6:00 P.M. - PLEASE INDICATE WHICH TIME YOU PREFER.

In order to become a registered Charter Oak Chapter volunteer, you must: attend a New Volunteer Orientation, have an interview with a Volunteer Manager, complete and return all required paperwork, pass a background check if age 18 or over, and have confirmed placement in a volunteer position. If you wish to attend an orientation, you must enroll by emailing or calling the Volunteer Resources Department. You will then be provided with a confirmation letter, driving directions, and an application form to complete and bring to the orientation.
