Imagine how rewarding it would be to help one or more of our adult students accomplish their goals in life as parents, employees, or community members, by improving their ability to read, write, and/or speak English! Our volunteers use the skills they have learned in our 12-hour tutor training workshop and no prior experience is necessary. Our students are highly motivated and will truly appreciate your help. Many volunteers have said to us, "I learn more than my student does!" or "I'm so inspired by my student/s." All of our volunteer tutors must take our 12-hour training, Any adult age 18 or older with a minimum of a high school degree and very good writing skills may take the training. Also we ask tutors to make a commitment of 2 hours a week for at least 1 year. This opportunity is sponsored by: Literacy Volunteers of Central CT, Inc We need volunteers who are free at these times
