Visiting Nurse Association Of Central Connecticut, Inc. provides high quality care for the sick, gives aid and comfort to the terminally ill, and promotes health and wellness for the community with compassion and understanding. We believe that: Caring for people is our highest priority. Staff and volunteers are our most valuable asset and should be supported to achieve excellence. Accessible and affordable home health, hospice, and public health services are essential to the well being of the communities we serve. Home health, hospice, and public health services should be provided as an integral part of the health care continuum in colloraboration with other partners. Health care should be delivered with compassion, expertise, and professionalism. We should responsibly manage resources so that we can fulfill our mission as a non-profit agency and maximize our ability to provide care without regard to people's ability to pay.

Description:
Visiting Nurse Association of Central Connecticut, Inc. is a voluntary, nonprofit, state licensed, and Medicare certified agency that provides a variety of health care services to people of all ages. VNACC provides intermittent skilled nursing and rehabilitation services 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Other services available include specialty nursing (cardiac, diabetic, mental health, & maternal/child health), personal care, public health/wellness and hospice services.

History:
VNACC began its proud tradition of providing quality home health care and general public health services in 1905. Throughout its 97 years of existence, VNACC has responded to the community health needs of the time from the establishment of milk stations for children in 1912, to provision of diphtheria immunizations in the 1920's, to offering health assessments at local senior centers and elderly housing in the 1970's. Today VNACC continues to respond to the needs of the community through the establishment of CareLink, foot care clinics, and flu and pneumonia clinics. Combining the skills and knowledge of professional and support staff, the VNA provides for your home health needs. Whether your've been diagnosed with an ilness, or wish to remain in the comfort of your own home while coping with changing health conditions, we can help.
