Vison: Creating a world without Alzheimer's disease while optimizing quality of life for individuals and their families.
Mission: To enhance care and support for individuals, their families, and caregivers and to eliminate Alzheimer's disease through the advancement of research.
Description:
The Alzheimer's Association offers the following services:
Family and Community Education-workshops, conferences, and presenations.
Support Groups-Regularly scheduled gatherings of caregivers and families to support, socialize, and learn from each other and other experts
Resource Library-pamphlets, newsletter, books, and videos.
Safe Return: an identification program that assists in the safe and timely return o f memory impaired individuals.
Information and Referral-information on the disease, plus chapter services and community resources
Care Consultation-Assistance with planning and problem solving, supportive listening, information and referral, and follow-up as requested.
