Based on our vision and promise:
--We will provide comprehensive reproductive complementary health care services in settings which preserve and protect the essential privacy and rights of each individual;
--We will advocate public policies which guarantee these rights and ensure access to such services;
--We will provide educational programs which enhance understanding of individual and societal implications of human sexuality;
--We will promote research and the advancement of technology in reproductive health care and encourage understanding of their inherent bioethical, behavioral, and social implications.
History:
Planned Parenthood of Montana is the largest provider of family planning services in Montana with clinics in Helena, Great Falls, Missoula,Kalispell and Billings. We welcome all individuals, regardless of income, age, or sexual orientation. Privacy is respected, and all services are completely confidential. Planned Parenthood of Montana is affiliated with Planned Parenthood Federation of America. Planned Parenthood began in 1967 by offering medical services in the Missoula County Health Dept. In 1969, Planned Parenthood began in Billings and absorbed the family planning clinic in Great Falls in 1979. The Billings affiliate began the Helena clinic in 1991. In 1998, Planned Parenthood of Missoula joined Planned Parenthood of Montana to become a statewide affiliate. In 2005,Choice Family Health Care was purchased by Planned Parenthood of Montana.
