The mission of Billings Clinic is health care, education, and research. Our vision is to become an outstanding medical foundation built upon the following cornerstones:
*A multi-specialty physician group practice in which a "community of physicians" work together in a collegial manner is at the core of this model.
*The partnering of physicians, excellent business managers, professional staff, and volunteers create a team whose synergies drive our success.
*Not-for-profit, community-owned and governed.
*Mission driven decision-making dedicated to a higher purpose in the community and the region.
*An obsessive dedication to quality and service.
We believe in quality, service, people, teamwork, and integrity.

Description:
Billings Clinic is a community-owned not-for-profit medical foundation governed by a 10-member board, eight community members and two physicians. We offer a 272-bed hospital and a multi-specialty physician practice. We operate family practice clinics in the Heights, West End, Red Lodge, Columbus, Forsyth, Miles City and Cody and employ the providers at Colstrip Medical Center. We have affiliations with Pioneer Medical Center in Big Timber, Daniels Memorial Hospital in Scobey, Rosebud Healthcare Center in Forsyth, Beartooth Hospital in Red Lodge along with 2 hospitals in Wyoming.

History:
Deaconess Hospital opened its doors in 1927 and merged with the Billings Clinic in 1992. We boast the expertise of 180 physicians and are the second largest employer in Yellowstone County with over 2600 employees. In 2001, Deaconess Hospital served more than 12,000 inpatients and facilitated 44,000 outpatient procedures, including more than 20,000 Emergency Department visits. We started the first dialysis program in our region in 1967 and now provide satellite services in four other communities. DBC is home to the Eastern Montana Telemedicine Network, a collaborative venture with fourteen rural health care facilities in eastern and central Montana that has served 13,500 people in 2001 alone. Our Family Birth Center opened its doors in October of 1999 offering Family Center Mother-Baby Care with 12 Labor-Delivery-Recovery-Postpartum (LDRP) rooms and 11-bed Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). More than 2,200 babies have been born since October of 1999.
