Animal Welfare League is a non-profit organization whose goal is to improve the quality of life and end the suffering of animals.
Description:
AWL is a 501 c 3 so donations are tax deductable. We try to find new homes for stray and released cats, dogs, rabbits, birds and many other species of animals. Once a year we have a Rabies/Distemper Clinic where pet owners can get their pets vaccinated at a lower cost.AWL keeps a registry of lost and found pets to help pets owners find their missing pets. We are involed with animal education, investigation of cruelty and neglect cases and animal rights issues.
History:
AWL was founded in 1981.We need volunteers to work at the yearly vaccination clinic and at the several garage sales we have during the year. Volunteers are also needed to feed feral cats and to pick up supplies and deliver them to Laurel.
