Realizing the necessity of computer knowledge, it is the mission of Computer4Kids to get computers into the hands of those who need them most; kids who don't have one, and can't afford to buy one.
Description:
We take donated surplus equipment, and depending on the condition, we may turn it right around as a complete system. Otherwise, we repair, replace or refurbish parts as necessary until we have complete systems. We then take the completed system, and install basic programs, along with Microsoft's Windows 98 operating system. We accept most working equipment, including modems, scanners, printers, monitors, speakers and other peripherals.
History:
As we enter the 21st century, it is evident that without computer skills and knowledge, kids will get left behind as they progress through school and into the workforce. Computer 4 Kids started when our founder, Mike Erickson, purchased some Apple computers and gave them away to needy children in 2001. In 2002, PC's were added to our repertoire, and have become our most requested and donated items. If you know of someone in need, please feel free to fill out our online application. We have recently moved and our new address is: 4017 1st Avenue South Billings, Mt. 59101
