HHP is a non profit/ NO KILL/ animal rescue group committed to caring for and sheltering homeless dogs and cats until appropriate homes are found. We also offer low cost spay/neuter clinics, updates on vaccinations and microchipping, call for details.
Description:
HHP is located in Billings, Montana at 2910 Hannon Rd., We have room for about 12 adult dogs, 15 puppies, 100 adult cats and kittens. We are a no kill facility. We do rely on volunteers to help us with general chores, paperwork , help with adoption days, transporting to or from Petsmart or vet and running errands. We also pay rent and utilities to provide housing, and shelter for these homeless pets, along with pet food, litter and cleaning supplies.
History:
HHP was started in 1990 and officially applied for and received its 501 3c non profit status in November 1998. Our first year we adopted 99 pets, 2nd year 297 and organization grew from there. In 2006 our adoptions were 2988. HHP has spayed and neutered over 8000 dogs and cats including feral cats, which we had our 10th annual spay clinic for these cats at the end of February 2008. HHP also feeds and cares for 60 spayed and neutered feral cats each night in more than 3 different colonies. We have provided food and shelter to these types of cats for over 13yr by the help of dedicated and devoted volunteers on rainy, cold or sunny days or nights and all holidays. We are in need of volunteers to help with feeding of the feral cats and also animals in the shelter. We also desparetly need somebody with handyman skills to help with fixing up kennels and doing minor repairs. We also are in need of a volunteer coordinator as our organization grows this has become a desparate need for us. We need all kinds of help with the animals and also phone calls, secretarial duties, advertising and PR work and a person to facilitate adoptions at our local Petsmart store.
