Nationwide emergency communications drill

Saturday , December 06, 2008:

YARES will be participating in a nationwide emergency communications drill on Saturday December 6th at the National Weather Service office in Billings. We could use some volunteers from noon till 5:00 pm on Saturday. Volunteers would be both communicating over the radio transmitter, and logging all contacts made with other stations across the country. Training will be provided onsite.

Every year in December, the Council on Aging staff and volunteers provide giftwrapping services (for a cost) in West Park Plaza. This year, wrapping will once again be offered. All proceeds go toward Council on Aging programs and services. This is an excellent opportunity to get to meet some new people and spread the word about Council on Aging programs and services.

Christmas Dinner Volunteers Needed

On Dec. 11, 2008 Angela's Piazza will host a large Christmas Dinner for our low income women and their families who came to our non-profit for support in the past year. We begin by setting up at St. Patrick's church basement at 3:00 p.m., crafts begin at 5:00 p.m., dinner is served about 6:00 p.m. and clean up follows and finishes about 8:30 p.m. Volunteers may work a two hour shif ...

Shop N' Wrap

We will need some volunteers stationed during our Shop N' Wrap day to wrap presents for visitors and help with other Christmas activities such as; holiday crafts, Santa's helpers, and games.
