St. Mary's Center serves homeless, at-risk and homebound seniors, families and pre-school children in Oakland. We aim to pursue our mission with deep regard and respect for all people.
Description:
St. Mary's provides hot meals 6 days a week, grocery bags twice a month, case management, mental and physical health services, recovery programs, hope and justice education, advocacy, art and music, and money management. St. Mary's also has a preschool for low income children.
History:
St. Mary's Center was started by the Sisters of the Holy Names 33 years ago to serve the poor in Downtown and West Oakland. The Center has since become an independent 501(c)3 organization.
