Last updated on March 24, 2008

We are looking for three assistant coaches in flag football, boxing and fishing. In addition we are looking for 1 grant researcher/writer, prior experience not Mandatory. Sport 4 life is a non profit organization that support and trains athletic coaches of at risk youth to teach life lessons as a priority, using sport as a platform. We also provide mentoring and tutoring to at-risk athletes.

Description:
We are a new agency, but very hopeful in the impact we potentially can make. Many youth who are from disadvantaged back grounds are caught in a cycle of poverty. On A surface level they have more then most of the world’s population, but if one examines the situation closely they are extremely underfed in meaningful lessons to cope with the emotional and psychological challenges life presents all of us. Sports presents great situations than can be easily used teach real life lessons. For example meditation, in sport it’s called in a zone. Obviously things like respect for your competitors, professionalism, concentration, positive thinking are very easily translated.

History:
Starting in January we began working with 3 youth track coaches. We have seen a substantial difference resulting from our training. “My team is just easier to handle and the kids are just are having more fun” We are a relatively new organization, so a motivated, inspired person could eventually become a paid officer.
