Uhuru Benefit Art Auction is raising funds for the Uhuru Movement which is struggling for the unification of African people and the liberation of Africa and all of her vast resources back into the hands of African workers to end the poverty, exploitation and oppression of African people worldwide.

Description:
More than half of the people in Africa live on less than $2/day! More than 1 in 10 African men in the U.S. are in prison! Yet Africa is the richest continent in the world in natural resources. 600 years of European Slavery and Colonialism have impoverished Africa and African people. Africa and all it's resources are the birthright of African people everywhere. The Uhuru benefit Art Auction organizes all nationalities to raise money for the international work of the Uhuru movement.

History:
An example of the many campaigns of the Uhuru Movement is the All African People's Development and Empowerment Project which is developing programs led and coordinated by African working people from throughout the world to transform Africa and African life, and solve the problems of the lack of electricity, water and economic infrastructure.
