Capture the Dream, Inc., is a registered Oakland Bay Area nonprofit dedicated to helping disadvantaged and at-risk individuals succeed at school and find fulfilling, sustaining careers. We foster hope, love, and support to youth at critical time periods to empower them to overcome adversity and achieve their dreams. Founded by a young enthusiast at the age of 21, this organization brings a fresh, new perspective to assisting the community.

History:
Capture the Dream, Inc. was born in the summer of 2006, when founder Janine Lee became reacquainted with Rauhmel Fox, CEO of WHOmentors.com, Inc. Inspired by her newfound mentor, she created a new non-profit organization to further the ideas she had developed as a platform for the Miss Asian America Pageant, and to pursue her own dreams directly. Capture the Dream, Inc. was registered with the Secretary of State, California on July 7th, 2006.

The logo of Capture the Dream, Inc., the Dreamcatcher, embodies the function of the organization. The Ojibway, a tribe of Native Americans, traditionally crafted dreamcatchers by bending a piece of willow wood into a hoop, weaving an ornate net within it, and garnishing it with beads and feathers. According to Native American legend, the dreamcatcher was hung above the bed of children as a charm to protect them from nightmares. The web would catch the bad dreams, while the good dreams passed through the center hole and trickled down the feathers. Eventually, the bad dreams would evaporate on the web during the light of the dawn.

The mission of Capture the Dream, Inc. is foster hope, love, and support to capture dreams. We strive to interpret your dreams, invigorate you to achieve them, and initiate contagious inspiration.
