Our mission is to provide free flights on aircraft that we currently rent, for children that have cancer or other life-threatening illnesses. We will fly them from the smaller rural remote towns into the San Francisco Bay area for cancer treatments/surgeries at no charge to the family.
Description:
Our goal is to provide a twin engine aircraft that will be available 7 days a week and 24 hours a day. We plan on flying 100 children in need, and 200+ family members each year. It is our goal to increase access to critical medical care, and help in the healing process. We will provide hope, reduced stress and costs of travel, and encouragement to the families struggling with a major life-threatening illness.
History:
Hope Flight Foundation was incorporated in California as a Public Benefit Non Profit corporation in October 2005. We received our IRS 501(c)(3) tax exempt status in January of 2006. We have been increasing public awareness of our organization, and are now in the grant writing phase to acquire funds to purchase our own dedicated aircraft.
