Description:
A primary objective of EBYC is to redirect otherwise 'volatile' and 'disruptive' behavior in young persons through an individual and realistic process of instructing them in making better choices; accepting responsibility for their choices; and realizing that positive rewards and consequences can be the direct result or outcome. Our core programs are: GED preparatory classes; Obesity Prevention; Independent Living Skills; Community Food Pantry; HIV/AIDS/STD Prevention & Awareness; Young Men's Support Group; Teen Talk; and EarthWide Travel & Event Planning (a career training program)
History:
EBYC was established in 1996 in Richmond - after several years as a grassroots community based entity serving young men in foster care.
