Description:
Pivotal Point Youth Services, Inc., is a 501(c)3 non-profit agency established in 2001 to provide intensive employment training, education, job placement, case management and other supportive services to current and former foster youth, and other high risk under served youth between 16-24 years of age. Pivotal Point has over five years experience providing employment and training services and is the only youth services organization in Alameda County specializing in preparing emancipated foster youth for the workforce. The organization provides education, job readiness training, vocational skills development, entrepreneurship training, case management services and other supportive services to over 700 youth annually.
History:
Founded in March 2001, Pivotal Point Youth Services, Inc. was created to provide intensive training, education, case management, parental support, health service referrals, and other supportive services to underserved youth between 16-24 years of age. Pivotal Point provides youth with the necessary life skills training to maximize their potential, prevent homelessness, and obtain self-sufficiency. The organization serves as a resource agency to Alameda County, Children and Family Services, Independent Living Skills Program (ILSP), community-based organizations, current and emancipated foster youth, probation youth, parenting teens, and other high risk youth.
