The mission of the Advisory Board is to assess family and community needs regarding prevention and treatment of alcohol and other drugs related problems. We report findings to Contra Costa Health Services, the Board of Supervisors and we advocate for the communities that we serve.
Description:
The Alcohol and Other Drugs Advisory Board is an 18-member board with members appointed by the Contra Costa Board of Supervisors.
There are seat openings representing:
• District I – West County
• District II- Lamorinda, Walnut Creek, Rodeo, Martinez
• District III- South -Danville, Walnut Creek, Brentwood
• District IV- Central- Concord
• District V- East – Antioch, Pittsburg, Oakley, Bay Point
• At-Large.
Applicants are required to be 18 years of age or older and should work or live in Contra Costa County.
We are committed to diversity in our membership.
Members are required to attend the monthly board and committee meetings.
