Zaytuna Institute founded in 1996 is an educational institute providing classes, conferences and lectures about Islam and Muslims in the US. It is also in the developmental stage of starting a full time seminary.

Description:
The scholars at Zaytuna Institute are highly recognized and in demand as speakers from governmental, social and cultural organizations. Zaytuna also provides courses on Islam for Muslim and general audience as well as produce books and literature.

History:
Zaytuna was first established in 1996 by scholar Shaykh Hamza Yusuf in Hayward, CA. The institute has recently moved to Berkeley, CA in 2007 to build closer relationship with UC Berkeley another Seminary programs in the area.
