To compassionately reduce the population of homeless cats by trapping, altering, and feeding feral cats, as well as adopting the friendly ones.
Description:
Community Concern For Cats (CC4C) is a non-profit cat rescue organization founded in October 1986 by citizens concerned with the growing numbers of abandoned and colonized cats. Through organization and the coming together of many caring individuals, CC4C was organized, incorporated and in business with members living in, and servicing Contra Costa County. CC4C is an all volunteer organization maintained on donations and fund-raising. Our members, fosters and volunteers work hard to make a positive difference in the lives of the cats we meet, and in helping our communities.

Overall Experience
I will never forget the cats I fostered. I changed their lives and they changed mine.

CC4C spays and neuters cats and adopts out cats that can be socialized. They are a NO KILL organization. Volunteer fosters take cats or kittens into their homes and care for them until a permanant home can be found. It is fun and fulfilling. When one of the cats that you foster finds a good home, it is elating. CC4C does a great job of screening adopters so you can be sure that the cats are going to people who will love them and take care of them. I learned a deep respect for the other people involved in CC4C and I felt great about myself and what I was doing. It was a life changing/life growing experience. I would recommend this to anyone who likes cats. You will be glad you did. I am. posted on February 25, 2007 |
