CHCC supports more than 50 non-profit health agencies fighting life-threatening illnesses. Contributions assist work with hospice programs, Alzheimer's, cancer, Parkinson's, multiple sclerosis, and others.
Description:
CHCC is a federation. CHCC is comprised of a group of qualified non-profit health charities fighting life-threatening illnesses. CHCC consists of over 50 member charities in its federation. Donations may be made to CHCC as well as any of its member charities. Like all non-profit federations, its member charities agree to share a portion of their donations with their federation. This supports the work the federation does to raise money for the charities and allows that work to continue. CHCC is competitive with other federations, receiving only 10% from donations to its members for administrative costs.
History:
CHCC has served our member agencies in the Bay Area for over thirty years. In 1971, the federation was created by the health charities for purposes of supplying fundraising and administrative management services.
