The mission of the Concord Child Care Center is to provide leadership and support to children and families by providing high quality education. Our success is measured by the demonstrated ability of each child to learn and achieve in an educational setting. Our efforts will result in families who understand human growth and development and have a foundation to live balanced and self sufficient lives.

Description:
The center serves children from low income families. The children are ages 4 months-6 years of age. There are 144 children a day who receive preschool and child care services from credentialed staff. The center serves breakfast, lunch and snacks. There is a spacious outdoor area, divided by age groups.

Concord Child Care Center is accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children, (NAEYC), is funded by the California Department of Education and Head Start.

Child development is emphasized throughout the many activities that are provided each day. There is a focus on the social emotional well being of every child.

History:
Concord Child Care Center was founded in 1972 as a non-profit corporation focusing on meeting the early childhood education needs of low income families who live or work in Concord.
