The Millman Respite Center is an Adult Day Program open Monday thru Friday from 10:30am-2:30pm. The Center provides activities for individuals diagnosed with dementia from Alzheimer's Disease, Parkinson's, stroke and other brain related disorders.

Description:
The Millman Respite Center strives to enhance the quality of life for the families it serves, by offering stimulating activities for the participants which provides respite or time-away for the caregiver. Volunteers help provide a warm atmosphere by socializing with the participants and also by assisting the staff with the daily activities. The Center is open to all members of the community and is a program of the Contra Costa Jewish Community Center. A Caregiver Support Group meets on Tuesdays from 10:30am-12pm and on Wednesdays from 10:30am-12:30pm. Monthly presentations are offered at no cost by a health care professional.
