To provide comprehensive day health care and support programs to disabled and disadvantaged populations in need of maximizing individual functioning and independence.
Description:
Mt. Diablo Center offers adult day health services to the frail elderly and disabled in Contra Costa County. We provide nursing and psychosocial services as well as physical, occupational, and speech therapies. Our activities are geared toward maintaining the optimal level of functioning while having fun in a loving and secure environment. We have an Alzheimer's and Dementia program, a general adult day health program, a social day program, a Russian program, Afghani program and a Latino program. We accept Long Term Care insurance coverage, Medi-Cal, VA (those who qualify), and private pay clients.
History:
Rehabilitation Services of Northern California (RSNC) has been serving disabled and disadvantaged populations in Contra Costa County since the early 1950's. We originally began with vocational services and helping children with polio and developmental disabilities. In the seventies, we branched out into adult day health care. RSNC now has two adult day health care facilities and one vocational service center.
