Description:
Anka Behavioral Health provides 70 programs in California, serving nearly 10,000 clients annually. Anka employs over 500 full-time, part-time, and on-call employees and its staff members provide client-centered services and support, including licensed staff of psychiatrists, social workers and nurses.

CRISIS RESIDENTIAL
Crisis Residential facilities are licensed, home-like settings within the community. Anka’s  highly skilled professional staff provide clinical services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week; direct care medical provided by a staff psychiatrist.  This provides both clients and communities with an efficient and cost effective alternative to hospitalization. The length of stay can range from 5 to 30 days.

TRANSITIONAL RESIDENTIAL
Transitional Residential facilities are home-like settings within the community providing professional staff services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.  Transitional Residential programs are designed to meet an array of special needs. Program services are provided to both young adults and adults who are mentally ill; to adults who are mentally ill and have become involved in the criminal justice system; to children and adults who have a developmental disability; to those who have substance abuse and other drug-related issues; and to those single individuals and families who are homeless and have one or more of the disabilities listed above.  The length of stay in Transitional Residential housing can be anywhere from 1 to 18 months.

OUTPATIENT

Anka delivers an array of outpatient services utilizing best practice treatment modalities, which include the “Clubhouse Model”, “Wrap Around” case management and Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) services.

History:
Since 1971, Anka Behavioral Health, Inc. (formally Phoenix Programs)has provided comprehensive rehabilitation services to some of California’s most vulnerable populations. What began as a small organization serving developmentally disabled children has expanded into a large, multi-site agency offering assistance to men, women and children who are mentally ill, homeless, have substance abuse issues, or who have been caught up in the criminal justice system.
