The Rainbow Community Center fosters a sense of community among lesbians, gays, bisexuals, transgenders and questioning (LGBTQ) persons and enhances their lives by providing social opportunities, health and wellness services, political and educational programs, and is guided by a commitment to acceptance and equality.
Description:
The RCC provides organized program activities for youth, senior citizens and Center members; educational programs for the LGBTQ community and outreach to schools and other organizations; support and information for individuals who are "coming out" or exploring their sexual orientation; support groups for men and women; information for LGBTQ persons who are new to the area; referrals to LGBTQ owned and LGBTQ friendly businesses and service providers; speakers on LGBTQ issues for schools and community groups and social activities such as Movie Night, Games Night, barbeques, sports groups, theater outings, Casino Night, Art Show, etc.

From Highway 4, take 680 south, Exit Willow Pass Road, Turn left (east) on Willow Pass Road. From Highway 24, take 680 North, Exit Willow Pass road, Turn right (east) on Willow Pass Road (at Parkside Drive). RCC is in the New Connections Building, across the street from the First Christian Church, next to the Concord Health Clinic. Parking and entrance is at rear of building. |
