Since 1960, We Care has improved the lives of Contra Costa's most vulnerable children and their families by offering them diverse, innovative, and responsive services to help transform their lives.
Description:
We offer speech, occupational therapy, early intervention and childhood programs to disabled children birth to three. Children birth to six with social, emotional, and behavioral issues receive mental health services and early childhood education. Both our developmental and mental health programs are offered in the child's home or at our center-based school program. Our goal is to optimize the development of children birth to six with disabilities or severe behavior or emotional problems due to abuse or neglect preparing the child for successful transition to school and future adult performance
History:
We Care has provided early intervention services in Contra Costa since 1960. We serve over 500 children and their families each year. In the past few years, through a grant from First Five, we have added a behavioral consulting program for day cares and preschools.
