Harbor House seeks to provide opportunities for low-income people to become self sufficient through spiritual, economic, and educational programs so that, together, we become all that God intends us to be.
Description:
Harbor House occupies a unique role in the diverse San Antonio District of Oakland. We are a family oriented community center with services structured to develop relationships, foster community, and strengthen families. Our programs include: Adult ESL, After-school programs for youth and children, and Emergency Food and Clothing Services. Harbor House typically serves over 3000 people through its many program activities.
History:
Harbor House for the past 34 years has consistently offered low-income individuals and families, holistic, community-based programs in a context of mutual respect. Harbor House's relationship-based programs respond to spiritual, social, educational, and economic needs as they bring about lasting change in people's lives.
